“I’m part of what’s going on in the world”
"I decided to travel to Guatemala because I knew that it would be a great experience," Daniel Phillips '11 explains. "I knew I would be working side-by-side with Guatemalan medical staff. Since I want to be part of Doctors without Borders, I wanted to experience this firsthand to see if this is what I want to do."
"I also went to Spain during spring Preview. Going to Spain really interested me when I heard about Arcadia's Preview program. I was introduced to Spanish as a child and wanted to submerge myself in Spanish culture.
"Traveling, interacting with different cultures and gaining the knowledge of lifestyles other than my own have helped to make my international experiences unforgettable. Just these two experiences alone will help me tremendously in my future career because I have experienced firsthand what’s going on in some parts of the world."
