I interned at Harvey, Ballard, & Bornstein tax law firm. Professor Thomas Brinker, from the Accounting department, helped me interview and secure a position at HBB.
My role at HBB was to integrate among the full-time employees and prepare and file federal and state tax returns. My other duties were preparing trusts and wills, filing client’s documents, and preparing individual taxation responsibilities.
My internship has already put me ahead of many of my peers in my field. In today’s market, jobs and internships are difficult to find. However, having experience in accounting on my résumé is an asset and gives me the upper edge in attaining employment with larger global firms.
