Be a Part of the Team.
Drew Hurchick ’13
There is a sense of pride that comes with being a member of the Arcadia lacrosse family. There is no other team that I would prefer to be a part of. The players that had been a part of the team made me feel at home and welcome from day one.
Arcadia’s Lacrosse Team was founded in 2007 as a club sport. Who would have known then that we would make it this far? We have taken a number of steps to prepare for our first year in NCAA Division III competition.
First, Head Coach Drew Delaney gives the team consistent guidance and direction. He is a one of the better coaches I have ever had because he’s always willing to help us with plays we are struggling with and he puts in long hours with us at practice and recruiting new players across the East Coast and elsewhere.
In addition, Strength and Conditioning Coach Todd Barnes has helped capitalize on Arcadia’s newly remodeled athletic facilities, where we’ve gained a lot of speed and endurance. The Dome allowed us keep up our skills on a field year-round. I believe that all of these factors as well as strong team camaraderie will bring us victory next year.
