Prepare for the Future.
Jackie Law ’13
Becoming an English major at Arcadia has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My experience teaching at Cheltenham High School, as part of an Education course, reaffirmed my goal of becoming a high school English teacher. And my English courses are helping me thoroughly understand the content that I will teach.
At Arcadia, no two courses are the same. Each one covers different time periods and topics in diverse ways. In class, we tackle issues relevant to history and literature as well as contemporary life. My Renaissance Literature course with Dr. Anne Kaier, Adjunct Professor of English, was a highlight of my academic career. She always finds fresh ways to make any topic fun and interesting.
Being a part of the varsity basketball and soccer teams adds a lot to my undergraduate experience. I get to play alongside some of my best friends. Our Division III conference is very competitive, but we’re always expected to prioritize our schoolwork.
