Research with Faculty.

I presented the results of my research at academic conferences, including the 2010 Sigma Xi Symposium. I believe this experience will be invaluable when it comes to applying to medical school.I gained two years of lab research examining egg-laying preferences in the Asian tiger mosquito under the supervision of Dr. Christopher A. Binckley, Associate Professor of Biology.
A hospital internship at a rural hospital in Gujarat, India, gave me an incredible opportunity to witness and experience what it means to work in a hospital setting. I shadowed doctors in the outpatient department, the operation theater, general and gynecology wards, and at the ultra sound facilities. I even witnessed a lot of diseases that we would not see here because of the vaccinations that we have available.
