Job Title:   Associate Director of Full-time Graduate Admission

Description:

Associate Director of Graduate Admission to manage enrollment processes for nationally-recognized programs.  Includes recruitment and travel.  Involves heavy telephone outreach to prospective graduates and undergraduates, coordination of admission procedures with departments and faculty program directors, developing and carrying out communication plans, and supervision of support staff.  Candidates must be self-motivated, forward-thinking, organized, work well in fast paced environment, and able to manage a complex set of projects and deadlines. 


Duties and Responsibilities: 

The Associate Director of Full-time Graduate Admission will be involved in the recruitment of prospective graduate students in a variety of ways.  The individual will manage and carry out the recruitment and admissions processes, working with the respective departments, of full-time graduate programs.  One or more part-time graduate programs may be included in those processes, depending on the recruitment cycle.  The Associate Director will work closely with the VP and Associate VP of Enrollment Management to develop and enact new strategies for recruiting and enrolling graduate students.

The Associate Director will also participate in the recruitment and enrollment of undergraduate students by conducting interviews and attending on and off-campus recruitment events.
The individual will also work on special admissions or financial aid projects as assigned.  The Associate Director will, in general, contribute to the planning and execution of Enrollment Management recruitment and retention goals and efforts. 

INITIAL LIST OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manage and implement recruitment and admission of graduate students.
2. Develop and carry out communications plans for all assigned graduate programs.
3. Serve on the Management Team with the other directors in the Enrollment Management Office
4. Carry out interviews, grad recruitment fairs and other on and off-campus recruiting activities
5. Conduct direct mail, web and telephone campaigns to prospective students
6. Assist in counseling of financial aid applicants
7. Manage special projects as assigned
8. Other duties as assigned by the Vice President and Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management

SUPERVISION:

This position reports to the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management and the Vice President of Enrollment Management.

 

 
Qualifications:

  • 4-5 years of progressively increasing responsibility in admissions, preferably focused on graduate, continuing or adult education recruitment
  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle available for recruitment and travel
  • Ability to lift/transport up to 20 pounds in admissions materials
  • Available for regular evening and weekend hours, programs and activities
