Arcadia University Announces
The College of Global Studies
Arcadia University, founded in 1853, is pleased to announce the establishment of The College of Global Studies. The College has transformed from the Center for Education Abroad through a total restructuring of the University Academic Affairs. The University is now divided into four colleges: The College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, The College of Business, Health and Sciences, The College of Continuing Studies, and The College of Global Studies. It is the first College of its kind to become a full-fledged member of the academy with all the attendant rights and responsibilities thereof.
As Arcadia University continues to expand its commitment to the full integration of global study within the life and academic mission of the university, The College of Global Studies will strive to uphold the University mission to prepare residential students, as well as international students, for life and service in a global and dynamic society.
Building on tradition of over 60 years of leadership and innovation in international education and research, The College offers study abroad programs for undergraduate and graduate students, special focus study and research programs for freshmen, undergraduates and graduates, academic degree programs, certificate programs, co-curricular learning initiatives, academic research opportunities, internship programs, faculty and student exchanges, and service learning projects, all ranging in length from semester, year and short-term study/research abroad programs. The University has also established a Center for Research and Assessment within The College in a research driven approach to international education through the development and provision of analytical tools for advancing leadership and learning in global education.
