Jillian joined The College of Global Studies team in August of 2013. While obtaining her B.A. in Psychology from Boston College, she spent a semester studying at Queen Mary, University of London. Following graduation, Jillian taught English for two years in Nara, Japan with The Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme. It was during her time there that Jillian recognized that her passion lay in higher education. As she earned her M.A. in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Teachers College of Columbia University, Jillian held a graduate assistantship in The Office of International Programs at Barnard College.
Jillian firmly believes in the internationalization of higher education, and that it can be achieved through a variety of avenues, one being study abroad. As someone who has benefited from her own experiences abroad, she advocates that all students should have the same opportunity.
