Gráinne Hand has worked for Arcadia University since the summer of 2002. Gráinne's main role is to assist students in their adjustment to life in Ireland. Her main responsibilities include coordinating and planning orientations, and creating and designing materials, including website and newsletter design and content, to assist with student adjustment. She communicates on a regular basis with students to ensure that their questions and concerns are quickly resolved.
Gráinne is a fully trained counselor and psychotherapist with professional membership and accreditation with the Irish Association of Counseling and Psychotherapy (IACP). Her previous college education earned her a Bachelor's degree from the Dundalk Institute of Technology in Business Studies and Marketing. She studied German as part of her college career, which involved her in many international student projects and developed her keen interest in working with study abroad participants.
