The programs below either have unique medical programs for North American students or offer excellent science courses that match U.S. Medical School requirements. Cross-registration is offered at some of the universities below and on the website for pre-health students who are not science majors and so need to take other courses. King's College, University of London

Study Abroad at Kings College University of London with Arcadia University

The King’s Health & Society Program is a highly selective program which is intended for juniors and seniors who plan to enter the medical profession upon graduation. This is an intensive program which focuses on practice-based clinical rotation experiences as well as high-level academic study. Students also have access to departmental seminars on a range of health related topics. Students can partake in a specially designed course through the renowned Department of General Practice and Primary Care, King's College London, School of Medicine. Additional Science courses can be taken in the School of Biomedical and Health Sciences.

St. Anne's College, OxfordStudy Abroad at Oxford

Oxford provides a singular academic experience for the competitive student. Students who choose the Pre-Health Program at St. Anne's College at Oxford will have the opportunity to study biochemistry, molecular cell biology, history and philosophy of science, and pharmacology while benefiting from the unique tutorial approach that distinguishes an Oxford education.

St. Anne's College was founded in 1879 with the distinct purpose of offering an education to women who could not otherwise afford to go to university.  The college is considered "young," at least by Oxford standards, and sets itself apart by providing a very down-to-earth, friendly, open-minded, and stimulating environment.  It is not surprising that St. Anne’s attracts students from diverse backgrounds, from Great Britain and around the world.

University of SussexUniversity of Sussex

The School of Life Sciences has been running a pre-med program for U.S. students for 15 years. Sussex can provide assistance with medical school applications and in ensuring that letters of recommendation from Sussex faculty are available in good time, and provide the sort of information and comments that will enhance a Medical School application. In addition to a large variety of science courses, as a student on the Pre-Medical program you may have an opportunity to volunteer at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, a local hospice, or for the campus rescue team. An experience in a hospital environment in a nationally funded health-care system is interesting and valuable.

University of Limerick

University of LimerickThe Faculty of Health Science and Faculty of Sciences are well known for quality academics and teaching. Students can easily cross-register to get the appropriate selection of courses for their major. Three Faculty Learning Support Centers in Science, Mathematics and ICT offer one-to-one support to students, with drop-in centers and supervised study areas. Students interested in working in the health sector will find some of the most progressive programs as well as dedicated supervision from faculty.

University of Otago

The University of Otago has a strong reputation for excellence in the areas of human health and medical science’s as they established New Zealand’s first school of medicine. Students can take courses in the Division of Health Sciences Departments or Division of Sciences Departments. Internationally recognized research excellence is at the core of the activities of the Division of Health Sciences. Much of the research edge comes from the close synergy that exists between areas as diverse as Biochemistry, Microbiology, Human Nutrition, Physiology, Anatomy, Chemistry, Pharmacology and the wide range of departments in the clinical areas such as Medicine and Dentistry. University of Glasgow

Study Abroad at University of Glasgow with Arcadia University

The Faculty of Biomedical and Life Sciences (FBLS) at the University of Glasgow is one of the largest departments of biological sciences in the UK, with approximately 140 members of academic staff whose expertise ranges from Anatomy, through Molecular & Cellular Biology, to Zoology. Glasgow offers a unique Functional Anatomy program aimed at the U.S. pre-med student that offers clinical applications, real specimens, latest technology, and access a to a Museum of Anatomy as well as a large variety of courses.
