Centro de Lenguas Modernas at Universidad de Granada Internship Program

Resume & Internship Statement Tips

This brand new program will give you the perfect opportunity to complement your study abroad with hands-on work experience in the Spanish workplace.

The 45 hour internship (3 credits), GRAN INSP 350 Research Project and Internship, includes a 15-hour academic seminar. This seminar is comprised of group as well as individual sessions with your instructor, preparing for, and reflecting upon, your work experience. A project paper as well as the presentation of your project to the group will be part of the course evaluation process. More detailed information can be viewed here: English | Spanish.

You can apply to either the Fall (October to December) or Spring (February through May) programs up to 6 weeks in advance. Seminar groups are restricted to 4-13 students, so early application is encouraged! Internship placements depend on your language proficiency as well as on prior experience and participants have to be approved by the Director’s Office. The Spain program manager will provide students with specific forms and application deadline.

Placement options include:

  • Internships in Companies (i.e. Andalucía Emprende, Fundación Pública Andaluza and the Centro de Lenguas Modernas (CLM))
  • Internships in Educational Institutions
  • Internships in NGOs and Volunteer Work

In order to be eligible to apply for an internship, students must take a full courseload at the Centro de Lenguas Modernas at University of Granada, i.e. 4 or 5 classes. One of these classes may be the Internship, as well as a Spanish language course, depending on the Internship placement.
