Located in Surrey, not far from Windsor Castle and the cozy city of Egham is Royal Holloway. The green and leafy environs of the college are dominated by the palatial, landmark building, Founders Hall – a Victorian architectural gem and focal point for the campus.

Students typically select courses from no more than two departments. However, given the range of offerings within each department, you'll find a relatively wide selection of courses. Four courses normally constitute a full course load at Royal Holloway, but you may take as many as eight courses in some departments if you stay for the full year. To facilitate your studies at Royal Holloway, you will benefit from the guidance of a departmental advisor who will be available to discuss academic and/or personal concerns with you.
Royal Holloway provides housing for students in with single rooms, often in its magnificent Founder's Building. Additionally, other housing is available in modern, on-campus buildings. No meal plan is available at Royal Holloway, but on-campus cafeterias and snack bars offer meals at subsidized costs. Arcadia University guarantees housing and makes all necessary arrangements.
Outside of studies, you'll find plenty of opportunities for fun and leisure on campus. You'll become a member of the Royal Holloway Students' Union, which sponsors more than 130 clubs and societies you can join. The Student's Union sponsors entertainment almost every night of the year.
Royal Holloway also enjoys a very active sports community and has the reputation for being the most sporting of the University of London Colleges. The motto "Be Active" encourages everyone to get involved and they do. There is an on-campus sports hall, fitness and aerobics studios, free weights room, squash courts and a variety of other outdoor athletic facilities.
Finally, you'll benefit from Royal Holloway's membership in the vast University of London system. As a student who attends a member college, you can use the libraries and facilities of most member colleges or institutes. Additionally, you'll be welcome to use the system-wide University of London Students' Union, located in central London. In addition to bars, restaurants and an entertainment venue that attracts major bands and comedy acts, you'll find the Union equipped with shops, a fitness center and weights room, health spa, squash and badminton courts, and a swimming pool.
