Program
With its central European location, Rome is a city which has been at the crossroads of commercial enterprise for well over 2,000 years. You will gain first-hand experience in a part of the world that is built on an incredibly rich historical and cultural heritage and is at the same time a dynamic and very modern place. In ancient times, all roads led to Rome … and many of those roads still exist today, literally and metaphorically. The rich exchange of ideas in which you will engage will impart to you a professional edge and a fresh perspective on international business. What better place to be in the middle of things?
The courses offered in the Business Concentration will take full advantage of the Rome location, linking the course material wherever possible to the Italian and European experience. Please refer to the outline below for details:All students will be required to study Italian language for 4 semester hours of credit. Italian language is taught in small groups with students who are at your same level – introductory, intermediate or advanced. You will find your mastery of the Italian language increases daily, as you interact with the people and places you are learning about in the classroom.
Students will complete their course load by enrolling in an additional 4 courses in topics ranging from marketing, international finance, international business, business and trade policy in Europe, to political and economic structures in the European Union. Or you may choose to combine business courses with courses chosen from the full range of humanities courses available at the Accademia Italiana. Check specific course titles and descriptions.
