Summer in Rome Program
- The City of Rome serves as your classroom for this exciting three-week, three credit course focusing on what defines contemporary Italian style.
- Moore College of Art & Design students will receive an Arcadia University transcript. Credit earned on the program will count towards your undergraduate degree at Moore College of Art & Design.
- Arcadia's experienced, knowledgeable staff offer complete student support in both the U.S. and Rome.
- All Moore College of Art & Design students will be housed in apartments provided by Arcadia University.

Rome represents a dichotomy of ancient and modern, old and new, and provides constant visual stimulation that inspires the imagination. In three weeks you will consider the historical context that breathes life into contemporary 'Italian Style', and engage the culture that shapes it by examining galleries, exploring festivals, attending guest lectures and visiting examples of ancient and contemporary Roman architecture.
The 2013 fee is $2,580, which includes: 3-credit course, guest lecturers, field trips, festivals, housing, health insurance, academic advising, pre-departure advising, on-site support staff. DOES NOT INCLUDE: flight, books, miscellaneous expenses, non-program related travel, meals.
Moore College of Art & Design students are eligible for Arcadia scholarships. Students need to fill out the FAFSA form and indicate Moore College of Art & Design and Arcadia University on the form. The College of Global Studies at Arcadia University has one of the most extensive scholarship programs of any study abroad organization. It provides more than $2 million per year in financial aid and scholarships. Annually, The College distributes hundreds of primarily need-based scholarships. Passport and Visa
If you do not have a passport, you must begin applying for one immediately. Your passport must be valid for six months from the end of your program, otherwise you will need to renew your passport.
You will not need to apply for student visa for this program if you are a US citizen. International students may need to apply for a visa as well. You can learn more about the visa process here.
- Summer session: 3 credits.
GPA Requirements: 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
You must be in good academic standing and not on disciplinary probation. You need to submit a complete application including a transcript, letter of recommendation, and an advisor's form before your application will be considered.
Please note: Moore College of Art & Design students must earn a C or better to be able to transfer in a class at the undergraduate level and graduate students must earn a B or better to be able to transfer credits for post-undergraduate or technical based electives.
