A leading university in London's East End

Queen Mary's compact campus is a rare find in London, where it is unusual to not have to commute to class. Its location in the East End is an area known for its multicultural restaurants, shops and markets including Spitalfields, Brick Lane and Columbia Road - places to mix and mingle with the locals. You’ll taste (literally!) the true essence of twenty-first-century London. The university's wide array of disciplines makes it a popular option for students who need to take classes across multiple departments. Queen Mary attracts many students from around the world, so you will enjoy an international flavor on campus, adding hugely to your academic and social experience.

Arcadia offers three study options at Queen Mary:

  • Courses: Enroll in four classes from the general course catalog. You may also participate in a specialized course track in the School of English and Drama.
  • Internship: Replace one Queen Mary course with an internship through Arcadia - add international professional experience to your resume. See the Internship Placement Guide for information about placement details.
  • Independent Study: Replace one Queen Mary course with your own research project which you complete under an Arcadia faculty supervisor - another excellent achievement for your resume.

I have soaked up a rainbow of new cultures from my time at Queen Mary. This really blew me away. It made me appreciate even more the people who live here. ”
