Study Abroad in Mexico

• Arcadia’s Summer Study Abroad in Mexico program, International Civic Engagement in Mexico, gives students the opportunity to become a contributing member of La Preciosita, a unique rural Mexican community, through an innovative service learning project.
  
  
• The program is based at the Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP), serving over 10,000 students in both undergraduate and graduate programs on a number of campuses.
  
  
• Students will have the opportunity to engage with the local community of La Preciosita. Situated in 740 acres of forest, students will experience day-to-day activities with the local families they reside with and gain a new understanding of the nation of Mexico, its traditions, challenges and opportunities.
  
  
• Exclusive workshops taught in English and Spanish (with English translation) will enhance the learning experience and focus on the environment and local and native trade and industries in Mexico.
