Program Plan for Certificate in Afterschool Education

The Certificate in Afterschool Education is designed with the flexibility necessary to meet the diverse needs of the afterschool workforce, both in accessibility and content.  Access to professional development, especially via higher education, is a challenge for many afterschool staff.  By earning the certificate primarily online[1] rather than requiring enrollment in a full-time, on-site program, staff can extend and deepen their training and skills at their own pace, on their own schedules.

[1]The first requisite course is offered as hybrid, composed of a three-day, on-campus Institute and online follow-up.
