Honors Course in Greece

A special course takes Honors students to Greece over winter break. The course includes orientation classes in the fall semester, intensive study and travel in Greece over winter break, and follow-up coursework in the spring semester. Honors students also are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the University's many other opportunities to study abroad. More.

• Off-campus cultural excursions to theatre, musical and dance events and museums
• Social get-togethers to foster camaraderie, plan for future events, share overseas experiences and celebrate special occasions
• Free London/Scotland Preview for first-year students—a week in London or Scotland during spring break
• Free Italy Preview for transfer students—a week in Italy during spring break
• A special study abroad course in Athens, Greece, designed especially for Honors students
• Service projects like building houses in Mexico with Habitat for Humanity organized by Honors students
• Opportunities for one-on-one mentorships with professors, Honors courses that offer topics, interdisciplinary work and research possibilities outside of the regular course schedule
• Involvement in a consortium of Honors Programs affiliated with seven neighboring colleges and universities. The annual Honors Conference focuses on student presentations, research and talents.
• An opportunity to be part of a community of students who strive for academic excellence, scholarly inquiry and leadership
• Participation in the annual National Collegiate Honors Council Conference for select students

Prospective Students
