The Electronic Poetry Center is a site where you can not only learn about poets, but you can also read some of their poetry and link to PennSound, http://writing.upenn.edu/pennsound/, to hear the poets reading their work. http://epc.buffalo.edu/ Some of Qui Vive's favorite poet's include: Allen Ginsberg, Harriette Mullen, Frank O'Hara, Joanne Kyger, Paul Blackburn, James Schuyler, Jack Kerouac, Anne Waldman, Jack Collom, William Carlos William, Charles Reznikoff, Lorine Niedecker, and Bernadette Mayer. Pomegranate Words is an online resource and magazine that has ideas to inspire you to write. Having a hard time getting started on a poem? Check out the section on Freewriting. And they have a great list of quotes answering the question, “What is poetry?” www.pomegranatewords.com  

Jacket Magazine was created to showcase lively contemporary poetry and prose. www.jacketmagazine.com

Museum of American Poetics features a variety of "multi-media investigations," and documents trends in Postbeat poetry. http://www.poetspath.com/

Exquisite Corpse, subtitled "A Journal of Letters and Life," is laid out like the New York Times online and contains a variety of poetry and poetry resources. http://www.corpse.org/

Big Bridge features contemporary poetry, fiction, nonfiction, art, and chapbooks, most of which you can read online or download. http://www.bigbridge.org/index2.htm

The Poetry Project inspires the reading and writing of contemporary poetry and has a downloadable version of its annual literary magazine, The Recluse. http://www.poetryproject.com/

Mad Poets Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to poetry and writing in the Delaware Valley. This site lists poetry readings in and around the Philadelphia area. http://www.madpoetssociety.com/index.php

Germantown Poetry Festival is a local organization that features youth poetry workshops and an annual festival. This year's festival will take place at Vernon Park in the Germantown section of Philadelphia on April 18th. http://www.germantownpoetryfestival.org/index2.htm

Montgomery County Poet Laureate's Program is a local program where youth can submit their poetry for publication. http://www.a2pwebdesign.com/poetrywits/
