Program Director

Tony MusciaDr. Tony Muscia, D.B.A. Executive Director of Arcadia’s MBA with an International Perspective. He earned his doctorate from Nova Southeastern University, his MBA from Western International University, and both his M.A. in Psychology and B.A. in Journalism/Advertising from Duquesne University. Dr. Muscia has more than 30 years of corporate experience in senior management positions, and he has owned and operated several small business ventures. He served as a consultant for the Arizona Small Business Development Center, and he has consulted and developed seminars and workshops for numerous government, academic, and corporate organizations. Dr. Muscia is a professional speaker and lecturer, and he has received several awards for excellence in teaching.

Faculty

Tom BrinkerThomas M. Brinker Jr., LL.M., CPA, CFE, ChFC, PFS, AEP, Professor of Accounting. He earned his B.A. from Saint Joseph’s University, his M.S.T. and M.S. from Widener University, his J.D. from Columbia Pacific University, and his LL.M. from Regent University School of Law. Professor Brinker has received several awards for excellence in teaching. He lectures frequently on current and specialized topics in taxation for the financial services industry and speaks at professional education programs for accountants and attorneys. In addition, he has appeared on several radio programs and has been quoted in national newspapers and trade publications on individual tax compliance and planning. He was previously employed by both Coopers & Lybrand and Arthur Young & Co. before starting his own practice. He is a consultant to local CPA firms.

William BiggsWilliam D. Biggs, Ph.D., Professor of Business Administration. He earned his B.A. from Muskingum College, his M.B.A. from Duquesne University, and his Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Biggs served as Chair of the Business Administration and Economics Department for more than 20 years. Dr. Biggs has developed and coordinated undergraduate courses and industrial and government training programs utilizing business simulations in applying real-world examples.

Anette HalpinAnnette L. Halpin, Ph.D., Assistant Professor and Chair of the Business Administration and Economics Department. She earned her B.A and M.B.A. from LaSalle University and her Ph.D. from Drexel University. Dr. Halpin has previous experience as a financial analyst and is a member of a number of marketing and strategic planning committees within the community.

Sassan HejaziSassan Hejazi, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Business Administration. He earned his B.S. from the University of Delaware, his M.B.A. from LaSalle University, and his Ph.D. from the Open University of the Netherlands. Dr. Hejazi is an independent consultant in the areas of selection and implementation of information technologies, and he also provides strategic information analysis, project plan audit, litigation support expert testimony, and high-level information technology advising to management in organizations in the Philadelphia region.

Wayne Morra, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Economics. He earned his B.S. from California State University, and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Temple University. He is Director of Institutional Research for Arcadia University. He has been involved with a variety of consulting and research projects, including the Bioko primate conservation study.

Adjunct Faculty

Karen Lawson, Ph.D., CSP, Adjunct Professor of Business Administration. She earned her B.A. from Mount Union College, her M.A. from the University of Akron, and her Ph.D. from Temple University. Dr. Lawson is an international consultant, speaker and author. She has extensive consulting and seminar experience in the areas of team development, communication, leadership, and quality service across a wide range of industries and is founder and president of Lawson Consulting Group Inc. In her consulting work with Fortune 500 companies as well as small businesses, Dr. Lawson uses her experience and knowledge of human interaction to help leaders at all levels make a difference in their organizations.

Linda Moonblatt, Adjunct Professor of Business Administration. She earned her B.S. from Temple University, her M.S. from San Francisco State University, and her M.B.A. from Northeastern University. Ms. Moonblatt is President and founder of Personal Management Services. She also has experience in marketing and business development with a number of firms.

Mary Sims, Esq., Adjunct Professor of Business Administration. She earned her B.A. from Temple University, her M.A. from Saint Charles Seminary, and her J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law. She has previous experience in both government and private practice. She has worked for several law firms in the Delaware Valley and now has her own commercial practice. She is a member of the American Bar Association and is an Arbitrator for NASD Dispute Resolution.
