College of Undergraduate Studies

As an Arcadia University undergraduate student, you will be enrolled in three types of courses: courses which satisfy University-wide Requirements, courses which satisfy requirements in your major, and elective courses.

We hope that all Arcadia University students include international study during their undergraduate years, either through one of the many programs offered through Arcadia's The College of Global Studies or by participating in our short-term courses (ID181). Our Pathways to Study Abroad pages offer international study options based on major.

Click here to find descriptions of the wide range of academic programs available to you as an Arcadia University undergraduate student. You will find traditional programs, such as a major in Biology or History, as well as many innovative programs, such as Psychobiology and International Business & Culture.

Arcadia offers undergraduate degrees leading to graduate work, both here and elsewhere. We have an automatic admission policy for our graduate programs in Physical Therapy and Physicians Assistant Studies. We have 4+2 programs (such as an undergraduate degree in Political Science coupled with a graduate degree in International Peace & Conflict Resolution), as well as 3+2 programs (such as the Elementary & Special Education program and the Environmental Studies Program).

The Office of Undergraduate Studies serves as the focal point for undergraduate student support services for the university. The services and programs connected to the office include: the Gateway Program, the ACT101 program, the Learning Resource Network, the Honors Program and special programs for first-year students, such as the Freshman Seminar Program. While not directly connected to the office, we also work with the Math Lab and the Writing Center to ensure that students have a full range of academic support available to them. The office serves the needs of all students so that every student can be successful.
