Dr. Christina Lewis
Associated Faculty (CV)
Christina C. Lewis, Ph.D, is responsible for teaching Gross Anatomy. She received a Bachelor of Science in physiology and a PhD in Anatomy from Colorado State University. She completed two postdoctoral fellowships, one at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and one at the University of California, San Francisco. She is also a certified medical technician. She is a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor of Basic Sciences at Samuel Merritt University.
Her peer-reviewed publications and scientific presentations reflect her expertise in the basic science related to gene expression; her research is focused on understanding mechanisms associated with diseases. She blends her knowledge of mechanisms associated with function and her passion for human movement and its anatomical structures. She has been an active member of the American Thoracic Society, the American Association of Medical Colleges Graduate Research Education Training Group, and the National Postdoctoral Association.
