Dr. Kim Nixon-Cave

Kim Nixon-Cave, PT, Ph.D., PCS, represents the incredible associated faculty members who teach from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Dr. Nixon-Cave is the manager of the Rehabilitation Services Physical Therapy Department.
We have developed a strong relationship with Dr. Nixon-Cave to ensure that the majority of the pediatric content in our curriculum is offered by one of the clinicians from CHOP. Kim received a Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy, a Master of Science in physical therapy and a PhD in Educational Psychology from Temple University.
She is an ABPTS Certified Physical Therapy Specialist and an APTA Certified Clinical Instructor, Advanced Clinical Instructor and a Trainer for Advanced Clinical Instructors for Clinical Education. She has extensive experience as an educator, manager, and master clinician. She has practiced as a physical therapist continuously since 1981 in a great variety of practice settings that provide her with a rich expertise in pediatric physical therapy.
Kim is a teacher scholar. She shares her pediatric expertise in peer-reviewed manuscripts, book chapters, and scientific presentations. She has been invited to lecture on establishing cultural diversity, establishing a clinical residency, and the need for clinical specialization.
