Gateway to Success

Gateway 2013r

Arcadia University’s Gateway to Success prepares new students for the transition to college, builds upon their academic skills, and provides mentors and support resources. Arcadia’s program also prepares students for collegiate-level intellectual inquiry, emphasizes academic achievement, and provides personal attention and resources to help them to succeed. From the Summer Program, before their first semester, all the way through graduation, this program guides students toward greater intellectual, personal, and social confidence and success in college. Gateway students gain experience that prepares them to do the following:

  • Build academic skills and strategies to succeed in Arcadia’s curriculum.
  • Receive advising and counseling to help make course selections.
  • Explore new ways of thinking about themselves, their education, and their career goals.

Sneha Thomas"After participating in the Gateway to Success program, starting a normal course load in the fall was so much easier. I really got to know faculty, staff, and a lot of my peers. My professors also helped me translate my skills in one discipline across the university curriculum, which was really beneficial. It was an amazing feeling to know that if there was ever any problem, I already personally knew the people who would help me solve it."
