- Attend workshops and discuss current issues in high school counseling and in the college admissions process.
- Network with fellow guidance counselors.
- Get the latest information on the 2010-11 financial aid process.
- Tour campus and get a student’s perspective from knowledgeable tour guides.
Experience London Preview
Counselors will be selected by random drawing or nominated by current Arcadia students to experience the Counselor's version of London Preview. Along with representatives from Arcadia University, these counselors will spend the week exploring London's academic institutions and cultural attractions. This trip is conducted in late July or early August and is at the expense of the University!
Please note that in order to qualify for a chance to participate in the London Preview trip, you must be present throughout the entire workshop and luncheon. To be eligible for London Preview for Counselors, you must be employed as a high school counselor during the 2010-11 academic year.
High School Counselors Experience London Preview
Thirteen high school guidance counselors experienced Arcadia University’s London Preview for Guidance Counselors from July 27 - Aug. 2, 2009. This is the 11th year that Arcadia has conducted the London Preview for Guidance Counselors, and the counselors were selected for the experience in November when their names were drawn from nearly 200 attendees at Arcadia’s annual Counselor Workshop and Luncheon, sponsored by the Office of Enrollment Management.
“The Arcadia University Preview program was an exceptional and professional trip that combined learning about the education system in England while experiencing firsthand the freshman study abroad program,” says Deanna Klingman from Abington Heights High School in Clarks Summit, Pa. “The Counselor Workshop program offered each fall provides guidance counselors from the northeast United States the opportunity to discuss relevant issues, topics and current trends in the field.
