Student Alumni Activities

SAA sponsors three major campus events a year, participates in two community service projects, and helps the Alumni Office during Fall Fest Weekend and Reunion.

Award Winning Coffee House: SAA sponsors an award-winning Coffee House featuring student and faculty entertainment—electric guitars, bands and vocalists.

Community Service: SAA students feel the importance of reaching out into the community through a variety of opportunities.

“Classy” Events: Join the fun planning this one! SAA sponsors a Senior Class and Faculty/Staff reception called “87” (the number of days until graduation). Come dressed up and ready to honor seniors at this elegant reception.

SAA District II Conference: SAA members from colleges and universities throughout the U.S. and Canada attend this annual weekend conference. Delegates share experiences, ideas, programs and leadership styles with each other. Add to that the evening disco dances, ice cream parties and interesting activities, and you can begin to understand why everyone wants to go.

Pen Pal Program: SAA members correspond with members the 50th Reunion class.

Kisses: Want to send that special someone a “kiss” for Valentine’s Day? SAA will send a message and bag of kisses to a friend who needs a pick-me-up or anyone you wish.

Reunion: SAA members help with class meetings, work at the Grilled GOLD picnic, decorate the campus and meet their Pen Pals. All who come have a great time during Reunion, the first weekend in June.
