What is GOLD?
GOLD is the acronym for Graduates Of the Last Decade. The GOLD Committee of the Alumni Board sponsors special programs, services and events for GOLD graduates.
Alumni who graduated in the last decade are invited to join the GOLD Committee of the Alumni Board and assist in planning for GOLD programs and activities.
GOLD Picnic at Homecoming
Saturday, October 10, 5 p.m.
Class of 2004, celebrate your 5th year Reunion catching up with classmates at the G.O.L.D. Picnic on October 10, 2009 at Homecoming. Don’t forget to qualify for your inscribed paver by March 1, 2009 so that you can see your name on The Alumni Fund Walk of Pride when you come back for the GOLD Picnic at Reunion on May 30, 2009! GOLD Community Service Program
In 1998 and 1999, GOLD alumni joined forces with students from the Student Alumni Ambassadors to work for Habitat for Humanity. In 1999, some of these GOLD alumni worked together scraping and painting the floor of a church in Kensington.
GOLD alumni are now engaged in an on-going Community Service Program which addresses the need GOLD alumni expressed to socialize with each other in the context of a Community Service program sponsored by Arcadia University.
GOLD "Grilled Gold"
Grilled GOLD is a picnic party held each year at Reunion for alumni who have graduated within the last ten years. Families are welcome to this event that features games, food, drink, music and fun for all. Young alumni without young families can arrange to meet with their classmates during Grilled GOLD to renew old ties and share their experiences. Look for details about the upcoming Grilled GOLD during Reunion Weekend.
GOLD Life Series
Throughout the year, GOLD sponsors special events. The GOLD Committee is currently developing the GOLD Life Series. This will be a series of dinner meetings where young alumni can share their careers, learn about a variety of subjects such as juggling financial responsibilities after graduation or buying a first home.
