Basketball at Albright moved to Thursday
Wednesday evening's Commonwealth Men's & Women's Basketball doubleheader has been moved to Thursday, Feb. 11 due to the pending winter storm anticipated for the Delaware Valley. Game times remain the same with the women tipping off at 6 PM followed by the men's game at 8 PM. Milligan reaches 1,000 Pt. Milestone, Lycoming outlasts Knights 58-53
As she has done so many times over her four year career, Arcadia University's Kim Milligan '10 came through with a clutch three pointer, her latest occuring at the 5:44 mark of the second half in Sunday's Commonwealth Conference game with host Lycoming. After a heroic 23 point performance on Wednesday at home, Milligan entered today's game needing just 8 points to reach the 1,000 career point milestone and the Knights entered the game seeking revenge for their earlier season loss at home to the Warriors and their first league win in the history of the program. Lycoming College men’s basketball team escaped with a 69-68 win over Arcadia University on Sunday, Feb. 7. in Commonwealth Conference play. The game was close throughout, with 13 ties and 16 lead changes. Read more...
Weather Forces Change to Saturday's Basketball Doubleheader
Due to the pending weather conditions forecasted for this weekend, the women's and men's basketball Commonwealth doubleheader scheduled for Saturday in Williamsport at Lycoming College will now be played on Sunday, Feb. 7. Women's Lacrosse to host Open Tryouts
Arcadia's Women's Lacrosse, an NCAA Division III program, will be holding open tryouts on Thursday, Feb. 10th from 4 PM - 6 PM on the Kuch Center Field . Anyone interested should contact head coach Cindy Joseph via email.
Crusaders need overtime to defeat Knights
Arcadia Men's Basketball erased a 13 point deficit with 14:19 to play in the game, and went up by 3 with 25 seconds to play, but Alvernia University answered with a three pointer to tie forcing extra minutes where they outlasted the Knights 82-75 in Commonwealth Conference play Wednesday evening in Glenside. Khalief Trawick '12 led all scorer's with 22 points, adding 9 boards, 4 assists and 4 steals. Renard Smith '13 scored 20, Jose Ortiz '13 with 14 point, 8 boards and Jason Thompson '12 added 13 to lead the Knights who drop to 6-13, and 0-9 in the league. Read more...
Second half surge helps Alvernia past Arcadia 75-63
Opening with 9-2 run and trailing by just 6 at the half, Arcadia University Women's Basketball failed to answer a second half offensive surge by Alvernia University as the Crusaders posted a 75-63 Commonwealth win Wednesday night in Glenside. Kim Milligan '10 led all scorer's with 23 points while Jackie Law '13 finished one point shy of a triple-double, scoring 9 points, pulling down 14 rebounds while dishing out a career game high 10 assists. Fourteen lead changes and five players scoring 19 or more points highlighted today's Commonwealth Conference men's basketball battle in Glenside, and it was Lebanon Valley College that walked away victorious with a three point win, 78-75 over host Arcadia. #23 Lebanon Valley College picked up their 10th straight victory and remain undefeated in the league with today's 66-43 Women's Basketball Commonwealth Conference win over host Arcadia. Streak snapped as Knights dominate Berkeley College
An offensive eruption fueled by five players scoring in double-figures allowed Arcadia University Mens' Basketball to snap their six game losing streak, picking up their first win since Dec. 22, with a 77-51 victory over Berkeley College Garret Mountain (NJ) in non-conference play Wednesday evening in Glenside. Swimming outlasted in the Valley
Arcadia University Swimming settled for a pair of losses against Middle Atlantic Conference opponent Lebanon Valley College Tuesday evening in Annville. While Arcadia's women were defeated by the Dutchmen 54-115, Arcadia's men, down just six points heading into the final event, the 200 Free Relay, were outlasted by the Valley,with LVC pulling off the win by 4 seconds to take the meet 104-91. Despite four players scoring double figures, Arcadia Men's Basketball dropped to 0-7 in the Commonwealth Conference following Saturday's 69-81 loss at Messiah College. #10 Messiah College scored 17 of their 36 first half points off Arcadia University turnovers and went on to win 69-38 over the Knights in Commonwealth Conference women's basketball play Saturday afternoon. Kim Milligan '10 led all scorer's with 23 points, shooting 50% from the floor and nailing 5 of 9 from three point range while Jackie Law '13 notched her 8th double-double of the season, scoring 19 points, grabbing 11 boards while dishing out a game high 8 assists. McCormick leads Men's Swimming to season's first win
Oliver McCormick '13, swimming in his first meet as a Knight since transferring to Arcadia from York College earlier this month, swam to a pair of first place victories and a third place finish to help lead Arcadia University Men's Swimming to their first win of the season, a 91-18 upending of Middle Atlantic opponent King's College at the Messiah College Invitational Saturday afternoon in Grantham. Law named C'Wealth Player of the Week for Women's Hoops
Jackie Law '13 led the Knights in 1-2 week that began when she nailed the game winning buzzer beater to lift Arcadia to a 58-56 win at home over Marywood, handing the Pacers just their second loss of the season. She finished the game with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. For the week, Law was tied with Kim Milligan '10 as the leading scorer's with 15.0 ppg but averaged a double-double for the week, combining her 15.0 ppg with 12.7 rpg, team highs in assists (17) and steals (8) while shooting a team best 48% from the floor. Her two double-double outings on the week bring her season/career total to six and for her efforts has been named this week's Commonwealth Player of the Week. Read more...
Twenty-Eight Knights Named to MAC Fall Academic Honor Roll
The Middle Atlantic Conferences (MAC) Fall Academic Honor Roll, which notes academic excellence by student-athletes, has recognized 28 Arcadia University fall student-athletes. The Honor Roll comprises those student-athletes of sophomore class standing or higher who participated in a varsity-level sport and registered a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 (4.00 scale) or higher and completed the playing season in good standing.
