Each summer, students ages 10 to 18 gather at Arcadia University to explore literature, theatre, history and the art of acting with professional artists and educators. Each two-week session is devoted to an assortment of classes and the rehearsal of various plays. Throughout, students concentrate on acting, dance, movement, voice, speech and stage combat. Students learn skills they will constantly use in everyday life as well as onstage. Students 15 and older can take the camp to earn two University credits.
Two two-week sessions are offered July through August. Students can register for one or both sessions. Each culminates in a different student performance of a Shakespeare play. Sessions run Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

VOICE AND SPEECH. Students discover how to make the most of words. This class focuses on relaxation and various vocal exercises toward the development of a dynamic speaking voice. Students learn how to project and to articulate so they will be clearly heard and understood.
DANCE/CLOWN/MASK. Focusing on physical exploration, students find their own personal clown and create and build their own masks. By breaking down preconceived notions of action and reaction, the students then learn how to fill the mask and make it come to life.
