John Noakes, Associate Professor of Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice, leads a discussion, “Contested Convictions: Exploring Claims of Actual Innocence,” that examines the criminal justice system with particular focus on the concepts of DNA evidence, false confessions, police misconduct and the characteristics of cases with competing claims of guilt, innocence and exoneration. Then settle back and watch Arcadia students perform in “The Exonerated”, staged by Arcadia’s Theater Program. Open to entire community.

“Works on Paper” Art Exhibit
November 18 - December 20
Arcadia University Art Gallery
"Works on Paper" is a much anticipated JURIED biennial exhibition in the Art Gallery. Because the juror reviews actual works brought to the gallery, this competitive exhibition remains highly regarded by artists and the viewing community alike. Now in its 25th year, "Works on Paper" consistently showcases many of the region's leading and emerging artists while addressing a spectrum of ideas and materials currently being explored on and with paper. This year's exhibition will be juried by JOÃO RIBAS, CURATOR of the Drawing Center, New York City.
