Dr. Jodi Bornstein is Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator of Social Studies in the Department of Education. She also serves as the Faculty Liaison for School and Community Collaborations. Dr. Bornstein's research interests include school-university partnerships, social studies curriculum and education, and urban teacher preparation. She currently is collaborating with a team of colleagues from the Department of Education on a pre-student teaching initiative, and forging partnerships with local Philadelphia-area school districts. Dr. Bornstein was recently named editor of the Pennsylvania Social Studies Journal, a publication for social studies instructors across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She holds B.A. and M.A.Ed. degrees from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Ph.D. in Urban Education from Temple University.
