Laura Fitzwater

Laura Fitzwater is a Philadelphia native and has been an adjunct professor at Arcadia since 2001, after graduating from Arcadia with an M.A. in English. She began her teaching career with Freshman Composition, but now teaches several different classes, some of which were created by her. In addition to her English degree, she has earned two degrees in business, and has enjoyed teaching Business Writing classes in the English department for several years.

Academic Interests
Fitzwater enjoys developing and teaching new classes. She has created a Gay and Lesbian fiction class and a Corporate Writing class here at Arcadia. She also redesigned the Business Writing class into a Research Writing course. She is currently co-developing a University Seminar on the topic of "coming out" and hopes to make that a yearly course offering.
Publications
Fitzwater had a review published in the South Asian Review in 2004, and when not teaching, works on creating short fiction.
