Florida Reunions 2010 Highlights

What a wonderful week it was for President Jerry Greiner and Terry Greiner, Nick Costa, VP of University Advancement, and me to travel around Florida and visit with our Florida residents, snowbirds, and travelers. And although the Florida temperatures were a little cooler than we expected, the sun was bright and we felt warmly received in Naples, Sarasota, Orlando and Delray Beach. Now that we are back in Philadelphia, looking across the snow-covered campus, we long for those “cooler” Florida temperatures!
Fortunately for us, we have the memories of four warm and wonderful Arcadia gatherings where we visited with over 70 alumni and friends. Special thanks go to our Florida hosts – Sue Burnison Burrows ’53 (Imperial Golf Club, Naples); Marilyn Neuberger Blocklinger ’53 (The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota); Joanne Brayton Jacobs ’68 (Leu Gardens, Orlando); and Shirley Canning Scatcherd ’59 and Loli Jaeger Lindstrom ’59 (Sundy House and Gardens, Delray) – for helping to arrange our venues and making personal phone calls to encourage so many alumni and friends to attend.
