New Church Road Entrance
During the next year, work will begin on a new grand entrance to campus at Limekiln Pike and Church Road. The entrance will consist of arched stairs that replicate the design of the Castle’s south entrance stairwell. Colorful banners and landscaping will complete the new entrance. The design by Simone Collins Landscape Architecture will change the way passersby view Arcadia and how students and pedestrians experience the campus, a major green space resource in the community. As recommended in the landscape master plan, the new design will strengthen this resource while celebrating Horace Trumbauer’s original design of the Grey Towers estate.
