To Our Faculty: Thank You for Making Arcadia a Great University!
Make your Campaign gift: Faculty Campaign Pledge Form
This past year, nearly 1,000 students, one of the University’s largest classes, graduated from Arcadia.

The success of these graduates is a direct result of the extraordinary commitment made by our talented Faculty and Staff.
Through The Campaign for Arcadia University, you can add to this impact. With your gift, you can help to create new facilities, increase endowments for student scholarships and the Faculty Scholars and Artists Fund, and increase Annual Fund support that allows the University to do more than otherwise would be possible. You have the option of deciding whether to support a specific project OR to make the Campaign’s highest priorities a reality through the “Triple Play.”
A Unique Way to Give: The “Triple Play”

The “Triple Play” allows you to make one gift that is divided equally to help construct the new University Commons, fund two endowments (one for student scholarships; the second for the new Arcadia Faculty Scholars and Artists Fund), and strengthen the University’s nationally recognized Annual Fund. Below is a brief summary of what your Campaign gift can accomplish.
1. Building the Long-Awaited University Commons
The new University Commons will serve as a place for students, faculty and staff to gather. Its impressive facilities include a major café, lounges, an art gallery, student activity spaces, meeting rooms (including an auditorium that will seat 500) and renovated areas in Kuch Center (fitness center, weight room, dance studio, etc.).
2. Increasing the Endowment

For Student Scholarships. With more than 90 percent of our students receiving financial aid, these scholarships are crucial to helping more students graduate and to reducing the burden of educational loans. Faculty and staff already have demonstrated extraordinary support for endowed scholarships with gifts to endowments honoring Marie Gallagher and Dr. David C. Larsen.
For the new Arcadia Faculty Scholars and Artists Fund. This newly endowed fund will support research, scholarly and creative activities of our faculty. This Award is open to faculty in any discipline and will be presented annually beginning in Fall 2009.
3. Strengthening the Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is part of the University’s operating budget and allows the University to purchase books for the library, fund building renovations, even pay salaries to our Work Study students. The Annual Fund enhances the day-to-day life at this University.
Giving to the Campaign is as Easy as A-B-C

A. Amount
Determine the amount of your gift and the payment period. Remember that Campaign pledges can be paid over as many as five years, making it possible to make a larger gift than you may have considered initially. You also have the convenience of monthly payments through payroll deductions.
B. Benefit
Determine if you would like to benefit a specific Campaign project or priority (e.g. University Commons, Scholarships, Faculty Scholars and Artists Fund, Annual Fund) or where the Campaign’s needs are greatest. OR
Designate your gift to the “Triple Play” to benefit these areas:
- Construct the new University Commons.
- Fund two endowments (one for student scholarships; a second for the new Arcadia Faculty Scholars and Artists Fund).
- Strengthen the University’s nationally recognized Annual Fund.
C. Complete Your Pledge Form
Complete and sign your pledge form and you’ll be investing in a Campaign that is benefiting the entire University and a new generation of students.
We’d Like to Say THANK YOU for Your Gift!
The Faculty and Staff Campaigns have many ways to recognize you and to thank you for your gift.
All Contributors
Unless otherwise requested, your name will be listed with other contributors to the Campaign in the University’s Annual Report for the year you make your gift.
A Dollar a Day for Three Years
The Campaign will provide a pound of fair trade coffee or tea with the mug when a faculty or staff member pledges an amount equal to -- or exceeding -- a dollar-a-day for three years (or $1,080). One dollar per day is approximately $30 per month or $360 per year. Over three years, your gift is $1,080.
President’s Circle
Contributors who make gifts of $1,000 or more per year (or $83.34 per month) qualify as members of the University’s most distinguished group of donors, the President’s Circle. Membership benefits include an invitation to a special reception and regular updates from the President.
Named Areas and Endowment Funds
Permanent recognition on individual plaques is available for named areas ($10,000 or more) and endowed funds ($25,000 or more). Contact the Office of University Advancement at 215-572-2945 for more details.
