Arcadia To Honor Scholarship Recipients and Donors at Annual Luncheon
On Nov. 12, scholarship recipients and donors will be honored at Arcadia’s second annual Scholarship Luncheon. Last year’s event recognized more than 45 students and donors and gave attendees the opportunity to interact and recognize academic pursuits.
Randi Hendler ’09, an Early Childhood Elementary Education major and recipient of the Adeline Wishengrad Gomberg Scholarship, was the representative student speaker at the 2008 event. She expressed her love for Arcadia and her gratitude to the donors. “I knew I wanted to attend this prestigious institution, but wasn’t sure how I would afford it,” she said. “I was able to afford it because of people like you.”
The Campaign has set a goal of raising more than 25 new endowed scholarships. Thus far, 17 have been established. The creation of these new scholarships will increase the number of students who have access to an Arcadia education.
