Students collaborating using computer

Our Mission

Library and Information Technology (LIT) serve the needs of the entire campus community and providing the best in technology and information services.

LIT is responsible for the planning and implementation of information resources, technologies and services that enable and contribute directly to university’s strategic directions. Additionally, LIT maintains network administration systems, e-mail servers, university-owned computers and Web servers.

LIT supports all aspects of a student's access to information by maintaining campus and library computer labs, offering high-speed Internet service, campus wireless network, e-mail accounts, campus portal, instructional technology tools, access to online services and help desk support.

The LIT staff and professional librarians strive to maintain the integrity of an “open-access” to information policy and actively support this through bibliographic instruction sessions, the selection, implementation and maintenance of online databases, e-journals and serials, books and software and other educational tools. Subject specialist librarians work one on one with students in their specific areas of study and offer help in all areas and stages of the educational process.
