We are continually review our service delivery model to ensure we provide value-added services to Arcadian’s across the globe.
GIS is responsible for the planning and implementation of information resources, technologies and services that enable and contribute directly to university’s strategic directions. Additionally, GIS maintains and provides support for infrastructure and network services, desktop support, software and web-based applications, help desk, and library services.
GIS enables all aspects of a student's access to information by maintaining campus and library computer labs, offering high-speed Internet service, campus wireless network, e-mail accounts, campus portal, instructional technology tools, and access to online services.
The GIS staff and professional librarians strive to maintain the integrity of an “open-access” to information policy and actively support this through bibliographic instruction sessions, the selection, implementation and maintenance of online databases, e-journals and serials, books / e-books and software and other educational tools. Subject specialist librarians work one on one with students in their specific areas of study and offer help in all areas and stages of the educational process. The Librarians have the tools to provide research assistance to students, regardless of where they reside.
