The University is recognized for:

  • The College of Global Studies is ranked second in the nation by U.S. News & World Report's America's Best Colleges and is recognized as one of the largest campus-based study abroad programs in the United States. The Center initiates foreign study for Arcadia students and students from other U.S. universities. Students may also enroll in special academic programs that Arcadia has established for American students in foreign countries.

The Center maintains over 100 programs in Australia, England, Equatorial Guinea, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Korea, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Mexico, Scotland, Spain and Wales, attracting more than 2,000 students from nearly 300 American colleges and universities annually. The Center offers programs for summer, fall or spring term or for a full year, in addition to special programs of varying duration.

  • Through its London Preview Program, Arcadia University sends first-year students in good standing to London during Spring Break for a week of learning and discovery, making the world a smaller place. The students pay just $245 for this cultural exchange, which includes airfare, housing and programming.

The innovative "London Preview" program is designed to expose first-year college students to the many advantages and rewards of study abroad and encourages them to study abroad again as undergraduates.  During their London visit, students discover how living and learning in a new environment can broaden their horizons, increase their global understanding and provide unprecedented opportunities for personal growth.

Students participate in a variety of educational and social activities in England. They also have time to visit museums, attend plays and explore other components of London's diverse cultural community on their own.

  • A global perspective in the classroom.

  • Writing-Across-the-Curriculum and Problem-Solving and Critical-Thinking initiatives, which help students in all academic disciplines, develop critical communication and analytical skills.

  • Graduate programs in healthcare and two doctorate programs, one in special education, the other in physical therapy (PT). U.S. News & World Report ranked Arcadia's PT program ninth in the nation.

  • Thesis Day (in-depth, culminating senior projects).

  • Highly respected and competitive undergraduate programs in the sciences, as well as in business, communications, education and fine arts.

  • Community service initiatives.

  • Freshman Seminars encourage intellectual exploration and active participation in the generation and articulation of ideas.

  • The International Peace and Conflict Resolution Program is the only master's level peace curriculum in the country that requires a year of overseas study.
