From Maine and Minnesota to London and Scotland 26 Arcadia University Freshmen Are Headed Abroad For Fall Semester
Glenside, PA –August 28, 2009—Twenty-six freshmen from Arcadia University will be departing campus on Monday, Aug. 31, at 5 p.m., to board planes as part of Arcadia's unique First Year Study Abroad Experience (FYSAE). The students will be studying in two locations, London, England, and Stirling, Scotland.
Eighteen freshmen will travel to London, England, and study at the City University of London. Arcadia students experience multicultural, contemporary and global London as their campus. Students enroll in Arcadia's London Now program and take a combination of courses taught through Arcadia University and City University of London. Students are housed with other American students studying abroad through Arcadia in one of two Arcadia-run facilities. Co-curricular explorations include a home stay with a British family and an Adventure Weekend with all the FYSAE students.
Eight freshmen will travel to Stirling, Scotland, and study at University of Stirling. Arcadia students experience campus life at the University of Stirling, located just outside of the city of Stirling, Scotland. Students take a full course load at the university and are housed in on-campus residence halls with other first-year Scottish and international students. Co-curricular explorations include a home stay with a Scottish family and an Adventure Weekend with all the FYSAE students.
