Arcadia University Student Biennial 2010 Art Exhibition, Jan. 28-Feb. 7
Glenside, Pa.—Jan. 25, 2010—Arcadia University’s Student Biennial 2010, an exhibition of artwork by 34 Arcadia University students, opens Thursday, Jan. 28, and runs through Sunday, Feb. 7, in the Arcadia University Art Gallery. An opening reception will be held Thursday, Jan. 28 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the Art Gallery with the exhibition juror, Sue Spaid, an independent curator in Philadelphia. Visit www.arcadia.edu/gallery for Gallery hours.
This is the third student exhibition 2006. “Being a juror is like being on a shopping spree with an unlimited budget,” says Spaid. “Since Arcadia art students seem fascinated by naughtiness, astonishment and surprise, jurying the Student Biennial was no exception. With almost every known media—painting, printmaking, jewelry, photography, drawing, fiber, ceramics, sculpture, participatory, installation and digital art—on view, spectators can sample the plethora of experiments happening on campus."
