Arcadia University Presents Peace Talk Creativity for Peace, March 9
Three Women from Israel, Palestinian Territories Talk Peace
Glenside, Pa.—Feb. 17, 2010—Arcadia University’s Political Science and International Peace and Conflict Resolution Department presents Peace Talk by Creativity for Peace, a New Mexico nonprofit with operations in Israel and the Palestinian Territories, on Tuesday, March 9, at 7 p.m. in the Rose Room in Grey Towers Castle. The event is free and open to the public. Arcadia University is located at 450 S. Easton Road, Glenside, Pa.
The three young women, May Freed from Kahal, Israel, Amira Said from the West Bank city of Jenin, and Fairooz Abadi from Kfar Kara, Israel, will discuss the transformations they have undergone, their ongoing struggles and passion for peace-building in the Middle East and their dreams for a future of peaceful coexistence between Israelis and Palestinians.
“Everyone who meets our girls is changed by the experience,” notes Dottie Indyke, executive director of Creativity for Peace. “They inspire with their courage and eloquence and instill hope that peace may actually be achieved in the Middle East.”
