Dover Resident Performing in Arcadia University Theater Production of The Glass Menagerie, Dec. 2-12

Glenside, Pa.—December 7, 2010—Kara Ashley Boland, a senior Acting major in Arcadia University’s national award-winning theater program, and a resident of Dover, Del., is currently performing in Arcadia’s MainStage production of The Glass Menagerie now through Dec. 12. Arcadia’s MainStage Theater is located at the Spruance Fine Arts Center, 450 S. Easton Road, Glenside, Pa.

Boland plays the role of Amanda Wingfield, in this masterpiece by Tennessee Williams. Her other acting roles at Arcadia have included: a phantom in Rocky Horror Show; Rhazna in The Princess Rescuers; and Mrs. Carnahan in Criminal Hearts.

While studying abroad in 2009 at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, Boland appeared as Suzanne in the theater production of Picasso at the Lapin Agile.

Arcadia’s production of The Glass Menagerie also has been selected for inclusion in the 2011 Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival.
