Arcadia University Announces New King of Prussia Campus

Business and Education programs designed for today’s busy adult

Glenside, Pa. – February 8, 2011 – Arcadia University, a leader in international education, is expanding access to its business and education programs with a new campus in King of Prussia designed for today’s busy adults. Graduate education programs at the new campus will include a focus on special needs and teacher education. Bachelor’s programs will take advantage of Arcadia’s international business and global expertise.

“Arcadia has a long history of providing quality and well-respected teacher education programs, particularly in the area of ‘inclusive’ and special needs education, and this new location allows us to expand access to these high-demand programs,” says President Jerry Greiner. Graduate courses will focus on Autism, Applied Behavioral Analysis, ESL, Educational Leadership, Infant-Toddler Mental Health, and Instructional Technology.

“We also are responding to the region’s need for undergraduate degree-completion programs by bringing our business and liberal studies programs to this new campus in western Montgomery County. This location offers a convenient option for professionals seeking to take classes at night around a full-time job or other commitments such as family,” says Greiner.

The offices are under construction and expected to open in March, with a full menu of summer classes available at the new campus. Visit www.arcadia.edu/kop for more information on programs and courses offered. The first Information Session for prospective students at the King of Prussia Campus is March 15, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Flexible formats designed for today’s busy adults—including accelerated and online courses—will be available in the state-of-the-art campus at Suite 700, Parkview Tower, 1150 First Ave., in the heart of King of Prussia’s thriving business district. This professional campus is easily accessible from the Pennsylvania Turnpike, the Schuylkill Expressway and the Blue Route. The King of Prussia Campus will open in May.

“The focus of the King of Prussia campus is to deliver creative and flexible courses that meet the education needs of adult, non-traditional and professional students in Western Montgomery County and the surrounding areas,” says Dr. Erik Nelson, Founding Dean of the School of Continuing Studies, Arcadia University. “For business professionals eager to stay competitive in an ever-evolving global economy, the undergraduate business degree-completion curriculum combines online study and traditional classroom formats.”

The King of Prussia site offers state-of-the-art classrooms, a conference suite, and large study areas with ample free parking. “Our expansion to King of Prussia is very exciting and exemplifies Arcadia’s ongoing commitment to offer both traditional and non-traditional educational experiences that are global, integrative and personal,” says President Jerry Greiner.
