Couples Counseling Unpacked: Integrating Theory into Practice, March 25

Glenside, Pa—February 25, 2011—Arcadia University’s Graduate Programs in Counseling Psychology present a Continuing Education Program in Psychology workshop, Couples Counseling Unpacked: Integrating Theory into Practice, with Dr. Stephen Treat, Friday, March 25, from 2 to 5 p.m. in Arcadia University Landman Library University Room. Arcadia University is located at 450 S. Easton Road, Glenside, Pa.

Dr. Treat is a Senior Therapist and former Director and CEO of Council for Relationships, the nation’s oldest and largest counseling agency and was responsible for the running of 14 clinical offices throughout the Greater Philadelphia area and numerous professional and public educational programs. He maintains a busy clinical practice, a consulting practice to help companies, philanthropies and corporations, and also teaches at Jefferson Hospital.

Participants who attend the workshop will acquire skills in process intervention (in the context of couples counseling); learn how specific theories are used to implement couples counseling interventions; learn ways to use oneself therapeutically in the context of couples counseling; and become aware of the range of couples counseling interventions effective for specific presenting issues.
