Live-in Staff
Resident Assistants are upperclassmen who have been selected to serve as resources, role models, and mentors for residential students. The RA is the most immediate link with students living on his/her floor. The RA works under the direction of an Area Coordinator.
Area Coordinators are professional staff specially trained to assist students within housing. The Area Coordinator manages all aspects of the residence hall, including, but not limited to, support of all residential students, supervision of paraprofessional staff, management of facilities and housekeeping concerns, disciplinary affairs, safety and security. Additionally, the Area Coordinators participate in a campus-wide emergency on-call rotation. All three Area Coordinators live within the areas they supervise among the students and staff.
