The Community Service Office runs several collections throughout the year. If you or your club is interested in holding a collection, please contact the Community Service Office at 215-572-4000.
Year End Collections
Don't need it? Don't want it? Donate it! Year-end collection items include:
- canned goods
- pots and pans
- toiletries (i.e., shampoos, soaps, feminine products, even samples)
All items must be in good condition to be accepted & distributed.
Drop-off locations will be in the lobbies of each residence hall. A bin will also be available on the 1st floor of the Castle.
Salvation Army bins will be located outside for faculty and staff donations, as well as an extra convenience for students during move out. Locations for these large, white bins will include: Dilworth/Thomas Halls; Heinz/Knight Hall (inner circle); Oak Summit buildings A and C.
Clothing donations can be dropped off in the Community Service Office (Dilworth Hall, Garden Level across from Global Information Services). Some halls have clothing collection locations--check with your RA.
We have requests for school supplies that are still in good condition. Children at shelters such as Laurel House and Interfaith are in need of backpacks, pencils, pens, crayons, dictionaries, binders, notepaper, books, and textbooks.
We are always collecting eye glasses and cell phones for various organizations and printer cartridges to help support our Alternative Spring Break Trips. Green and white donation boxes are located in all academic buildings and residence halls for your convenience. Eye glasses, cell phones, and cartridges can also be interoffice mailed. Contact the Community Service Office for drop-off information at 215-572-4000.
