Greater Philadelphia Food Bank

Sponsors BABYMANNA to raise funds to purchase baby formula for thousands of babies born into low-income families.

Mennonite Central Committee

MCC has more than 105 volunteers involved in education, housing, justice research and advocacy, immigration concerns, Native American concerns, health, social service, refugee assistance and administrative support work. Volunteers work to remove barriers that separate people from each other and from God in a ministry of reconciliation.

Northwest Interfaith Movement

NIM brings together people of all backgrounds to develop programs that improve life for individuals and for the community. Some of their programs involve retirement homes, congregations, and families.

Phil. Committee for the Homeless

PCEH works towards elimination homelessness by encouraging the development of resources in public and private sectors and by raising public awareness of the causes of homelessness. Volunteers are most needed to work in their day center, which provides telephones, facilities, referrals and a permanent address for homeless persons. Consistent, dedicated volunteers are needed for one night or a week of street outreach, bringing conversation and information to people living on the street.

Share Our Strength

SOS is a nationwide network of creative professionals who use their skills and resources to help alleviate the causes and consequences of hunger in the U.S. and overseas. Now one of the nation’s largest private, non-profit sources of funds for hunger relief, SOS promotes self-sufficiency among those in need through funding, public awareness, and public action. Volunteers are needed too help fulfill this role.

S.H.A.R.E.

S.H.A.R.E. is a non-profit food center that buys and packages food to be distributed to Host Sites for families to pick up. Volunteers package food for distribution.

Trevor’s Campaign for Homeless

There are many volunteer services available for Trevor’s Campaign for the Homeless. Opportunities are available in the shelters and in the streets.
