To be ready anytime, keep some comfortable clothes and a pair of walking or running shoes in the car or in your bag.

More ways to increase physical activity

  • Recruit a partner for support and encouragement.
  • Walk, or bike more, and drive less.
  • Do stretches, exercises, while watching TV
  • Dance to favorite music.
  • Work out to an exercise video.
