First Year Student Residential Options
Grey Towers Castle
The Castle is a first-year, coed residence hall and houses residents in rooms of two to seven. Some rooms share a private bathroom. Microwaves are prohibited in student rooms, but a microwave is available in a common area for student use. The Castle is also home to the President’s Office, the Office of Enrollment Management and the University switchboard. Student groups frequently use the ornate Rose and Mirror Rooms for meetings and other events. A laundry room is located on the ground floor.
Kistler Hall
Kistler is primarily a first-year residence hall and is coed by wing. Human Resources, the Business and Treasurer’s Offices are located on the ground floor. Some amenities of Kistler Hall include:
- A breezeway that attaches Kistler to Thomas and Dilworth Halls, which allows residents to access the Mail Room, Dining Hall and Student Activities Center without walking outside.
- A main lobby equipped with a large television that has VCR and DVD capability.
- Guest rooms and study lounges for student use.
- A laundry room located on the ground floor
Thomas Hall
Thomas is primarily a first-year residence hall and is entirely female. Centrally located, Thomas is highly accessible to all areas on campus and is connected to Dilworth and Kistler Halls.
Dilworth Hall
Dilworth is primarily a first-year residence hall and is coed by wing. The Student Activities Center, Public Safety, Facilities and Conference Services are located on the ground floor. Some amenities of Dilworth Hall include:
- Dilworth is attached to the Dining Hall.
- A main lobby equipped with a large television that has VCR and DVD capability. Wireless Internet is also available.
- The Blue Lounge, a popular meeting place for students, is located on the second floor and connects Dilworth and Thomas Halls.
- Guest rooms and study lounges for student use.
- A laundry room for student use.
Heinz Hall
Heinz, the largest residence hall on campus, is primarily a first-year residence hall and is coed by wing. Heinz is also the home of the Wellness Center and the Commuter Student Lounge. Some amenities of Heinz Hall include:
- A main lobby equipped with a large television that has VCR and DVD capability.
- Guest rooms and study lounges for student use.
- A laundry room for student use.
Upperclass Student Residential Options
Knight Hall
Knight is primarily an upper-class residence hall and has suitestyle rooms housing 5-8 students. Each suite shares one bathroom and a common area. The ground floor of Knight Hall houses the Student Affairs Office, Career Development, the Learning Resource Network and the Community Service Office. A lounge with a kitchen and laundry rooms is located on each floor.
Apartment-Style Housing
There are two apartment-style housing options for upper-class students: Manor Apartments and Oak Summit Apartments. Manor and Oak Summit are a short walk from campus. The apartments house two to four students in one, two or three bedroom apartments with kitchens and private bathrooms. Only those with previous university housing experience will be placed in apartment-style housing.
Dilworth, Heinz, Kistler, Thomas Halls
Although these buildings primarily house first-year students, there are designated double rooms and single rooms for upper-class students.
