New Student Orientation
Summer Schedule | Fall Schedule | Staff
It is our special pleasure to welcome you as a new member of the Arcadia University community.
Arcadia University encourages active engagement of all students, personal responsibility, and respect for all individuals. While you are at Arcadia, we hope you will become involved in our wide variety of academic programs and expansive co-curricular activities. We are confident that you will benefit from and contribute to campus life.
Full-time students entering in the Fall are expected to attend a summer orientation day and the fall orientation program. The summer orientation day is a time to complete placement inventories and to select classes for the Fall. There are four dates in the summer offered to first-year students and two dates offered to transfers. You must select one. The fall program takes place the five days before classes begin. Our goal is to help new students feel comfortable on campus before classes begin.
All new full-time students are expected to attend the New Student Orientation Program.
- For students entering in the Fall, there are two components to the program.
- For those students beginning at the University in January, click here for more information on that program.
- New part-time students should contact the Undergraduate Studies Office at 215-572-4045 for more information.
The mission of New Student Orientation is to assist new students in the transition to life in our University community, and to actively engage current students in leadership roles in an effort to facilitate this process. Our priority is to develop strong leaders, and to enhance the existing supportive environment by helping new students learn to accept and face challenges, appreciate diversity and therefore grow as students and individuals.
